What We Do

Internship Program for Veterinary Students

Since 2015, Animal Nepal has been offering internship opportunities for final-year veterinary students from HICAST and other veterinary colleges. Interns typically spend one month with us, gaining hands-on experience at our Dog Treatment Center and Animal Sanctuary.

The program provides invaluable learning, not only in practical veterinary skills but also in animal welfare principles and understanding the critical role veterinarians play in promoting and upholding animal welfare standards.

Over the past decade, Animal Nepal has trained over 400 veterinary students, many of whom have gone on to make significant contributions to animal welfare across Nepal.

Notably, all of our current veterinarians began their journey as interns with Animal Nepal, reflecting the enduring legacy of this program—a legacy we are immensely proud of.
