November
In November, we conducted a vaccination camp for street dogs in Bariyarpur wards 1 and 2 ahead of the five-yearly Gadhimai festival, our team rescued an old horse from Bhaktapur who will be joining the rest of our residents in Dukuchhap and our President Pramada Shah talks to Nepali Times about the need for social and legal reform to bring an end to religious animal sacrifice in Nepal.

Learn about how we celebrated Kukur Tihar this year, we implore our friends and supports to have a cruelty free Dashain by campaigning against religious animal sacrifice on the occasion of World Animals Day and we introduce you to Chhori (daughter), a rescued goat – the newest member of our Dukuchhap family!

We look at the mass protest organized by animal welfare organizations and civil society following the killing of stray dogs and cattle in different parts of Nepal, our dog population management team completed vaccination programs in different parts of the country on the occasion of World Rabies Day and lastly we fondly remember our beloved Bobby who left us on 17 September.
