Dog Adoption
Guidelines

Some things to think about before adopting a dog:

  • Adopting a dog is at least 10-15 years of commitment — consider all the changes that might happen and make sure you keep your dog through those changes.
  • Think about the practical realities — are you ready to bring a new family member into your home, and provide them with all they need to live a long, happy and healthy life?
  • Your dog should be part of your family — if that is not what you are getting a dog for, then just don’t.
  • Look for a dog that compliments your lifestyle — think about their size and their personality. Some dogs like to be active while others prefer to nap all day.
  • Puppies may not always be the best choice — puppies are cute but they can be a lot of work. They need training and constant attention. If you want a calmer and quieter experience with your dog, then adopting an older dog might be the best choice for you.
  • Our dogs are not for sale or to be used for breeding — Animal Nepal strives to find a loving home for our rescue dogs. We are strictly against the sale of dogs or dogs being used for breeding purposes. If this is your intention, then we discourage the practices and we will not be able to assist you.
