What We Do

Animal Nepal Sanctuary

Located in Dukuchhap, the Animal Nepal Sanctuary is a safe haven for rescued animals, with a particular focus on large working animals such as donkeys, horses, mules, bulls, cows, and buffaloes, as well as smaller animals including goats, dogs, and birds. It is the only sanctuary of its kind in Nepal dedicated specifically to the welfare of working animals.

The sanctuary serves as an ethical alternative to traditional zoos, aiming to reconnect people with animal species that are often overlooked or undervalued. Visitors are encouraged to learn, engage, and develop empathy, bridging the gap between humans and the animals they encounter.

All residents at the sanctuary have been rescued from various hardships, and we provide them with lifelong care and protection. This is made possible thanks to our partners, Animal Aid Abroad, whose sponsorship program ensures that all our working animals receive lifelong support and care.
