Internship & Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering with an animal charity like Animal Nepal can be an incredibly rewarding and fulfilling experience. Animal Nepal offers different internship & volunteering opportunities for people with a genuine interest in animal welfare ready to commit their skills, time and effort to our cause.

ANIMAL NEPAL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

If you are a trainee veterinarian or veterinary technician and are interested in joining our team to gain hands-on experience working with dogs, cats, and equines, we welcome your application.

Interns will have the opportunity to learn alongside our veterinarians and technicians across our Dog Treatment Center in Chobhar and our equine facilities, gaining exposure to both clinical work and animal welfare practice in real field conditions. For safety reasons, we strongly recommend that all volunteers receive pre-exposure rabies vaccination before participating in animal care activities.

Please note that our internship program is designed as an educational experience that requires significant time, supervision, and resources. As such, a participation fee may apply to support the training and care provided throughout the program.

ANIMAL NEPAL VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM

Join us in making a real difference in the lives of animals across Nepal. There are several meaningful ways to contribute your time, skills, and compassion to support our work.

Direct animal care at our treatment center and sanctuary: Dog walking, grooming, feeding, cleaning, and supporting our animal care team
Office and administrative support: Assisting with paperwork, data entry, and general office tasks
Outreach and advocacy: Supporting social media, awareness campaigns, and fundraising initiatives
Fostering: Providing temporary care for rescued dogs in a safe and loving home environment while they await adoption. Fostering plays a vital role in their recovery and wellbeing

Through volunteering, you become part of a wider effort to improve the lives of animals across Nepal and support long-term, meaningful change.

Volunteers must be 18 years or older. For safety reasons, we strongly recommend that all volunteers receive pre-exposure rabies vaccination before participating in animal care activities.
